volunteering
If you'd like to use your skills to help build SkyTruth in a hands-on way, we're looking for volunteers who have expertise in image processing and analysis, GIS, web-based mapping, digital graphics, technical writing, Google Earth and other "virtual globe" applications, and private- and corporate-donor development. Please contact us to find out more.
Check out some recent work by two SkyTruth volunteers. GIS expert Dorn Moore worked throughout the BP Oil Spill compiling data published by NOAA showing the size and location of the oil slick. Dorn put that on a map so we could compare it with our analysis. And Andrew Vernon used his Photoshop skills to help us illustrate the proposed Pebble gold mine in southwest Alaska based on the company's published plans. |
