Outreach
and Education Program Reaches Rocky Mountain West |
|||||||
October 22, 2004 - As part of our ongoing outreach and education program, SkyTruth hit the road in October to meet with many of the organizations that address oil and gas drilling, hardrock mining, and other environmental issues affecting the Rocky Mountain West. Over 19 days we covered 4,000 miles throughout Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and Utah. We gave two public presentations attended by dozens of citizens and public officials, and met with 60 people representing 30 different organizations to discuss how satellite imagery can shed light on environmental problems and reveal the consequences of our land and resource management decisions. SkyTruth has a lot of enthusiastic allies and plenty of new work to do! |
